Violence against Women and Girls Day of Action

On Friday 19th June, there was a borough-wide day of action to tackle and increase awareness on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in Croydon. 

Neighbourhood officers were out and about engaging with the public, communities, and arresting perpetrators. Throughout the day we had VAWG stalls across the borough, a drop-in session for women at the Croydon Voluntary Action Centre, visits to licensed premises handing out materials and arrests for multiple offences.

This included an individual causing the public to feel unsafe, who was later arrested for offences including Handling Stolen Goods, Criminal Damage, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Burglary and Driving while Disqualified/Without Insurance.
